10th Anniversary Celebration of Laudato Si’
A Celebration of the Casa’s Care for our Common Home
May 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the groundbreaking encyclical by Pope Francis – Laudato Si’: Care for Our Common Home. Pope Francis drew from St. Francis’ deep spiritual connection with creation when crafting his message. This spirituality is expressed best in his famous poem Canticle of the Creatures, written 800 years ago, where it states that we are brothers and sisters with all of God’s creation.
In the past decade, the Casa community has aimed to foster a deeper respect for creation, promote sustainable habits, and to deepen our commitment to a lifestyle that respects the Creator’s handiwork. We invite all to join the celebration where we will recognize our community’s past accomplishments and inspire all to continue this work.
Our celebration will include (but not limited to):
– Blessing of New Solar Panels
– Commemorative Dinner and Fellowship
– Special Program for small children and pre-teens
– Laudato Si’ Prayer and Presentation
– Acknowledgment of Accomplishments
– Next Steps
Fee: $35 per person. Pre-registration required.
