In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, Desert Garden UCC of Christ’s Mission Outreach and OnA Team invite you to a special screening of the acclaimed film Te Ata: Bearer of the Morning.
Te Ata tells the inspiring true story of Mary Thompson Fisher, a Chickasaw woman who broke barriers in the early 20th century to become a celebrated performer and storyteller. Her journey from Oklahoma to the national stage is a testament to the power of cultural pride, resilience, and the enduring spirit of Indigenous traditions.
