We invite you and your community of faith to become a SAGE Congregation! We live in a time when the world is desperate for sages: wise exemplars who use knowledge and experience; people willing to make just choices and take bold actions for the sake of people and the planet. Wisdom is more than knowledge and information. We are awash in information, but we need more than data, more than pie charts, more than knowledge – we need people of faith and conscience to speak and act with courageous wisdom. We need SAGE.
By becoming a SAGE congregation, you form a partnership with Arizona Interfaith Power & Light, as well as our shared network of impassioned faith communities and their teams of sages. We offer an abundance of resources to our SAGE Teams, like tools for engaging your community, connections to partner organizations, educational materials, and opportunities to speak with your local policymakers.
Together, we’ll work to make your congregation an active force for climate justice.
We have resources in five broad focus areas:
- Faithful Advocacy – Engage in public life to address systemic causes.
- Worship – Lift up faith community leaders and faithful reflection.
- Education – Support collective understanding of current challenges & solutions.
- Buildings and Grounds – Exemplify sustainable SAGE actions in your facility.
- Community Engagement – Share experiences, bridge divides, & uplift stories.
